FAQ

What kind of photographer are you? I am both a studio photographer (dogs primarily) and a natural light outdoor and indoor portrait family photographer. I focus on families with their dogs to capture the in between moments with you and your children as well as your furry friend. My photos are an investment in your family and your future.

Where will my session be? Studio sessions are at my in home studio in the neighborhood on Montlake, Seattle. If you’re having your pup photographed outside of Seattle, studio location changes. Send me an email for more information. Outdoor session locationa vary depending on the client and the time of year. In the spring, summer and fall, a majority of my photos will be in the outdoors, with the exception of newborn sessions. As a Seattle based photographer, sessions are typically in Seattle parks but I have photographed outside of Seattle as far as Whidbey Island will travel upon request. Winter sessions are typically either in the mountains for a snowy session or in the comfort of your home.

What should I wear? Choosing your outfit can be the hardest part! I always tell clients to avoid extremely bright colors, clashing patterns and don’t be too matchy matchy. But we want you to be comfortable in your skin so dress as you would on a normal day. Blog Post coming soon.

How do I receive my photos after the session? Photos will be delivered to you in a customized gallery within two to three weeks from your photo session. Photos will be delivered in both color and black and white and you will be able to download them digitally. The gallery will be available to you for 6 months unless you request for it to be available longer. Prints and hangings can be purchased directly through the gallery and I do hold sales for galleries annually so keep an eye out for that on my social media.

Welcome. I’m Margot.

I was 16 when I got my first camera, it was a Nikon D5000. For the next few years, I carried that camera with me everywhere I went, photographing everything I could - from sports games to my family dog. In college, I studied media studies and studio art with furthered my interest in photography.

After college, I worked various jobs, but none of them quite stuck and left me wondering what I would do next. I studied as a food photographer for some time and worked with chefs around the world. I moved to Seattle at the end of 2017. Growing up in Washington, D.C and attending college in LA, I was drawn to the west coast. Around this time, I also began fostering dogs and as a result photographing dogs for their profiles.

While living in Seattle, I have grown a love for the city and the mountains that surround us. I joined a community of like-minded dog lovers who work tirelessly to rescue and train dogs.

I am an outdoor lifestyle adventure photographer who uses natural light to capture families, dogs and engagements. I strive to capture the in between moments, the real moments, the moments you don’t want to forget. I am here to capture the moments with your dogs that will last generations. I embrace the rainy months in the city by capturing photos in the comfort of your home in a documentary style session.

I am so glad you’re here, I cannot wait to meet you.
