San Francisco Engagement with Emma and Nilay
I met Emma when I was eight. Or maybe younger. Our worlds collided up in Maine down a dirt road at a summer camp called Med-O-Lark. She’s been a close friend ever since. This year, we reconnected and Emma asked me to photograph her and Nilay during my visit to San Francisco for a bachelorette party. I, of course, was so excited about this! Emma did some research about where they wanted to spend the day and we rented a car and went out into the Marin hills to the Muir Woods. There we spent the afternoon walking around the area capturing the large trees and their love. After this session, we grabbed lunch at the wonderful French restaurant - Le Garage in Sausalito - highly recommend - and headed back to the city. We had planned for a golden hour session that evening on Baker Beach but of course Carl the Fog had other plans for us! I was super bummed about the lack of sunlight but enjoyed that these photos look like they’re taken on film. I did have them get their feet wet and twirl around. It was cold, but we had so much fun.
Nilay singing to Emma, always ends with laughter!
